We depart early in the morning for the Colden Circle and green energy tour and our first stop is at the largest power plant in Iceland, “Hellisheiði”. This tour is operated in a minibus with maximum of 18 passengers.

In the geothermal energy exhibition at Hellisheiði our passengers learn about volcanoes, hot springs, earthquakes and energy utilisation through multimedia shows and guidance. The admission fee is included in the price. After the exhibition, we continue the journey to explore a volcanic crater called “Kerið”, and a small waterfall and beautiful called “Faxi”.

Then we head onwards to the classic Golden Circle Classic route, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area and Þingvellir the national park. Lunch stop on the way (lunch not included in the price).

What do I need to bring?

Remember to always dress well in Iceland. The weather can change in a matter of minutes. Bring a fully charged camera, good shoes and overalls in case of rain.
