PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 

Go Icelandic is fully licensed and Icelandic based travel agency and booking site. We work with only professionals within the travel industry. We have high standards and aim at working only with licensed and approved suppliers.

By making a purchase of any travel product and or travel service from our site or office you are accepting our terms and you are bound contractually. The person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the travelling party and is responsible for all payment due from the party. We strongly advise you to read and understand terms and conditions before you confirm your booking.

Booking services with Go Icelandic are only available for persons 18 years or older. Individuals younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by at least one adult.

 

TERMS OF PAYMENT

When you reserve online a full payment is charged to your credit card. Once booking has been submitted and payment is confirmed, you receive confirmation via email with an attachment including the voucher with a booking number and a list of services purchased and information of suppliers. Please check and re-check the details of your confirmation to make sure they are exactly as you ordered.

 

GENERAL TERMS AND LIABILITY

Go Icelandic generally does not operate any tours by it self but is a link between you and the relevant tour operator and service provider.  Go Icelandic does not charge users any fees, and as such, is not liable for any accidents, losses, injuries, damages, delays, expenses due to any action or inaction on the part of the tour operator, guide or his/her services. In some cases you might be asked by the tour operator beforehand to sign a separate agreement regarding the tour.

Go Icelandic is not responsible for any “no show”, mis-bookings, wrong entries of dates, location errors or any other mistake made by customers. Go Icelandic is also not responsible if the pickup location is not specified at the time of booking and if you miss your pick up due to not submitting the correct pickup location.

Go Icelandic is not responsible for any mistake, errors and cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete or correct, nor can we be held responsible for any errors (including manifest and typographical errors), any interruptions (whether due to any (temporary and/or partial) breakdown, repair, upgrade or maintenance of our website or otherwise), inaccurate, misleading or untrue information or non-delivery of information.

If for some reason you have to cancel your booking, Go Icelandic will do its best to ensure the best protection for you. We recommend that you reserve your trip early to ensure better availability.

 

CAR RENTAL TERMS

A full driver’s license must have been held for at least 12 months and must be presented at the start of the rental and the renter must be 20 years of age.

All rentals are subject to the full rental agreement terms and conditions at the time of rental. We strongly advise you to read carefully the contract from the operator that you will be asked to sign when you receive the car. Any issues regarding the rent of the car are dealt with directly with the car rental. Go Icelandic cannot be reliable for any accident, damages, injuries or illness during your stay in Iceland.

 

Cancellation terms

CANCELLATION – DAY TOURS

Cancellation more than 24 hours in advance before departure – 100% refund.

Cancellation less than 48 hours before arrival – no refund. Tours are non refundable when cancelled less than 24 hours prior to tour departure and in case of no show.

 

CANCELLATION – MULTI-DAY TOURS

Cancellation 7 days in advance before departure – 85% refund. The 15% service fee is to cover our cost of planning and arrangement. You can not cancel any individual services within a package within 7 days before departure.

 

CANCELLATION – CAR RENTAL

Cancellation 30 days or more before pick up time – 100% refund of what has already been paid.

Cancellation 7-29 days before pick-up time – 80% refund of what has already been paid.

Cancellation 1-6 days before pick-up time – 70% refund of what has already been paid.

In case of a no-show or last day cancellation we charge 100% of the rental amount.

 

CANCELLATION – ACCOMMODATIONS

Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance before arrival – full refund

Cancellation less than 48 hours before arrival – no refund

 

CANCELLATION DUE TO WEATHER

Some of the tours are weather dependent, and may be subject to cancellations. If your tour is cancelled and you are not able to reschedule, you will receive a full refund.
